V-Rod Dowsing Rod or Divining Rod
The V-Rod Dowsing Rod or Divining Rod is a familiar and traditional dowsing rod.
This handsome copper and brass V or Y Dowsing / Divining Rod looks back to earlier days when rods cut from select trees were used to search for water.
This V-Rod also comes with a removable brass witness chamber.
V-Rod Dowsing Rod / Divining Rod
Early Y rods were often fashioned from alder, willow or hazel branches with the forked or V-shaped ends held in the hands and the opposing end pointing outwards.
Generally, the V-Rod Dowsing / Divining Rod is held with the palms facing down. The rod will respond in an up or down motion.
The V-Rod Dowsing / Divining rod is closely associated with finding water and this method is sometimes known as Willow Witching, Water Witching or Water Divining and recalls a time when the practice and art of water divining also called “sourcier” or water sorcery was accepted and respected by the general population.
How to Use Your V-Rod Dowsing Rod
There are many skeptics who do not believe in dowsing. Be that as it may, because they don’t understand, it doesn’t mean that their disbelief makes it so.
Albert Einstein was convinced of the authenticity of dowsing. He said, “I know very well that many scientists consider dowsing as they do astrology, as a type of ancient superstition. According to my conviction, this is, however, unjustified. The dowsing rod is a simple instrument which shows the reaction of the human nervous system to certain factors which are unknown to us at this time.”
Grasp the rod in your hands with palms up and the thumbs pointing outwards. Add tension to the rod by slightly pushing your hands together. The end of the rod should point up at approximately a 45-degree angle.
Holding the Y-rod parallel to the ground, walk over the area to be probed. When you pass over the area where the object is located, the rod will either dip up or down depending on the mental programming of the dowser.
